Hop on the cable car in town and whiz up to the sunny slopes in no time. Beginners and intermediates will be in their element with plenty of runs to have some fun on. Most visitors stay in the town of Meiringen in the valley, but for those wanting a shorter commute to the slopes, there’s lots of ski-in/ski-out options up the hill in Hasliberg.

Feeling peckish? No problem. Take your pick from a range of mountain restaurants to fuel you up ahead of an afternoon on the slopes – or in the bar. No judgement here! And for those feeling a little more cultural, make sure you check out the Sherlock Holmes Museum. After all, Meiringen is famous for being the birthplace of this famous detective.
